TO COMPLY WITH ALL REQUIREMENTS TO BECOME A FIRST RESPONDER
Be over 18 years of age – Be Garda vetted and cleared -Have a current driving licence – Be willing to receive direct texts to your mobile phone – Complete a confidentiality document – Be trained and certified to the cardiac first responders national standard – Complete the required on-line courses as required, we will assist if necessary in completing such courses.
AFTER COMPLETION OF ALL COURSES AND CERTIFICATION
Attend once every month for a training session to ensure your standard of training and professionalism is maintained to the highest standards – To wear your ID badge on all call outs – To maintain confidence and practice complete a re-train CPR course every 2 years – On emergency call outs take all reasonable care, to FIRST protect your own safety, and then the safety of others – Have a calm and confident approach , provide effective CPR and use the automated defibrillator when indicated – Provide a concise handover to NAS on their arrival – Complete the Cardiac First Responders report on completion of task.
